Can I use an older Sprint phone for a prepaid Boost Mobile or Virgin Mobile plan?

My daughter currently has a Virgin mobile phone and I want to give her a newer phone. I have a Samsung SPH-M510 that I used on my Sprint plan before I upgraded. Is is possible to ...show more

For Virgin mobile? No.They only allow Virgin Mobile phones. Period. No exceptions . But they have phones as cheap as 9.99 brand new like the Jax. For Boost? Only on the cdma side (there are two versions of Boost mobile). . That is the one that has no sim and no walkie talkie and runs on Sprint. However you will need to get a Boost mobile cdma phone first, then open an account then transfer your Samsung's esn to that . I don't know if it's worth all the trouble. but it is possible.

yes. take it to the local Sprint store or call them on the telephone and the technical services people will make some modifications and it can be done. takes about 4 hours after the call or visit to the store is completed.
