How can I make my new iPods battery last longer?

Ways to make my iPods battery last longer?

  • It dies too fast

  • Answer:

Batteries on iPod's are not the greatest to begin with. Over time the battery quality actually wears out (any battery will do this) and work for shorter and shorter periods of time. There is a chance it could just be your iPod, but here is some things you can do to try and make it last longer: •Make sure bluetooth is off unless your using it •Make sure wifi is off unless your using it •If you are in the car or will be offline anyways, turn airplane mode on •Set the screen brightness on "auto" •Set the screen to auto turn off after a short period of time •Charge your iPod until it is fully charged •Turn off location services either all together or for all apps except the ones you need it for (ex: maps of you use that) •Turn Data Push off - it is found in the settings for your email, it makes it so that your iPod is constantly checking for new emails. Lots of people just keep this on though because they want to get their new emails right away •If you are done with your iPod, press the sleep/wake button on the top to turn off your screen instead of letting it turn itself off after a few minutes. Lastly, just in case your iPod is trying to do lots on the background, one other thing you can do is: When you are on the home screen, double tap the home button to bring up multitasking. Tap and hold the first app until they all wiggle and press the red circle with the white line on every app to close it. This isn't deleting it, just stopping it from running in the background. When they are all gone, fully restart your iPod (hold power button for 5 seconds, slide to power off and then hold power button until you see the Apple)

Always keep your device on Airplane Mode. It doesn't hurt it, and you can also use Wi-Fi too. It preserves your battery for a long time. And also dimming the backlight wouldn't hurt either. I hope I helped

Turning down the brightness usually helps, try that.
