    Sounds like biceps tendonitis, pretty common. You will feel a sore spot on the front of your shoulder on the bone between the two front deltoids. You are actually reaching too far back when you hit/serve nd that agravates it (stretches the tendon). Try to keep the contact in front of you. Bicept just infront of your ear, not behind.

If the pain persists it is possible you tore the cartilage in the shoulder called the labrum. I tore mine a year ago and I had to have surgery to repair it. Just make sure you R.I.C.E rest, ice, compression, elevation. If it becomes unbearable go to a doctor.
