How do you change the song name on an ipod touch?

When I go click on the tab music under my ipod, the letters aren't black they're gray, and I can't click on anything. I want to rename a couple songs, but it won't let ...show more

I think you are looking at the wrong music tab. I think you are looking at: DEVICES - iPod -- Tab: Music That is NOT the part where you edit the songs/filenames. You need to look under: LIBRARY - Music It's your main music library where you can add/delete and edit songs! 1) Right click with your mouse on a single song (the one you want to edit) 2) a menu will popup appear, press "Get Info". 3) You'll have the tabs: Summary, Info, Video, Sorting, Options etc. Click on Info 4) Name stands for the title of the song, Artist (that speaks for itself), those are the two fields that will appear on your iPod. You can also edit other information if you want to such as album and artcover etc.

On itunes u change the song name by double clicking. If the song is grey and has an ! by it it means that itunes cant find the file you downloaded the songs from. Such as you deleted the file ooff of your computer but not off of itunes. Itunes will not play the song. So download the songs again unless you bought them frm the itunes store then you might want to contact apple support.
