Why is my digital cable box remote not working all the time?

I lost power this morning due to storms, and now my TV isn't working and the time warner cable box just keeps?

• flashing the word boot on and off where the time should normally be, and the green power button on the box is also flashing on and off. How do I reboot the TV? please help, thanks.

  1)Make sure the power is not leaking.Put the power "ON" and wait for a while and turn it "OFF" again repeat the procedure few times. It may come back to normal. 2)Fix the loose connections. 3)If not, the Tv is over drawing the current.I suspect it might have exposed to humid place with the result that the parts might have moist-ed.For this, it should be dried by air and cleaned .If it is not this one, then 3)It is definitely FET switching power transistor,defective power capacitors, SRT or power ICs in the power supply section Or, in HOT transistor,power ICS,sometimes SMP transformer(If there is any according to the type of power supply it is being designed) opto-couplers. 4) According to my experience, it is usually a defective switching FET- transistor of the power supply section.. Good luck, I hope TV will come back once 1) and 2) is being followed when testing it.Thank you.
