What is the difference between a LED or Plasma TV?

What is the difference between LCD tv and plasma tv and led tv?

  • tell me the difference in their clarity also.

  • Answer:

An LCD and an LED are the same type of TV.. The LED is slimmer and lighter, since it has a different type of backlighting... Otherwise, the same specs, and a very slow response time, meaning that fast action makes a blurr on the screen. Some have a high refresh rate to help this, but it is not a fix.! Don't believe all that junk about plasma burn in.....Newer plasma TV's have addressed that issue, and a plasma has a very fast response time... Also, a very wide viewing angle.. Go to a big TV store like Best Buy, and walk way off to the side of an LCD or LED..You should see the color/contrast change or fade. Now try that looking at a plasma..! Excellent blacks and colors also.. The average lifespan of all HDTV's is around 60,000 hours....Ask questions.. I notice many sales folks at Best Buy are pretty knowledgeable compared to other stores.... Games are not good for any TV, however, for fast action, sports, and just excellent response, go with plasma.. If you just want a slim, light good TV, get an LED. The burn-in issue has all but been eliminated with newer phosphors, and electronic orbiting technologies. <--
