What is the difference between LCD,LED and Plasma TV?

LED and LCD are good. i prefer LSD. never tried plasma, so i cant comment there.

Plasma gives very good contrast and no motion delay (ghosting), but takes up to four times the power to run, so it can make a small room hot in the summer. But this is the best value. So if it is going in a large open room, and you do not run it very long, then it is the best buy. All other tv are LCD: 1. The oldest kind of LCD is tube lights around the edges, So the black are not perfect, and not as uniform. 2. The next improvement was using LED at the edge as the light source. and speed up the frame rate. such as 60 hz, 120 hz, 240 hz to min. ghosting. You wont notice the problem unless you plan games on it. 3. The newest improvement is running thousands of LED lights directly behind the LCD screen. This gives the best contrast for any LCD tv, because it can turn off the light source at each small area. The black will be more dark, and the color will be most uniform. But it is more expensive. Then there is the latest OLCD from Sony, but it is very expensive and not much on the market yet. Bottom line: Plasma and the oldest style LCD is best value. The direct LED, LCD is the most expensive but will look the best. Plasma is as good as the best LED<LCD but takes more power and money to run and heats the room up a bit. To give you some idea; a 40 inch plasma takes about 400 watts of power and a 40 inch LCD takes about 100 to 200 WATTS TO RUN. Long answer, but I hope this helps. LOL, you asked.
