What would be the best 42" Plasma HDTV for gaming?

I have both plasma & lcd, but I use lcd for my xbox 360. In my opinion lcd is better than plasma for gaming. But if you still prefer plasma, I can recommend you panasonic plasma since I use panasonic plasma in my living room for playing wii, cable tv, & local tv channel. If you change your mind to lcd than I recommend you sharp lcd. As the size, 42" is ok. But if you have extra cash, I recommend you 50" for plasma & 52" for lcd. Happy gaming.

A 42" is perfect i would personally go with an lg led the newest technology it will enhance the feel of the game it has great graphic projection check them out.

go for the Samsung Pn42B450 or the LG 42pq30 both staring around $700 and both have 600hz. They're both 720p but that's fine for XBox 360. If you want 1080p you prob have to down size to a 40" LCD which would be a little more than $800 for a good brand.

A panasonic us great, also LG is realy good. But if you could put more in your budget I hugly recommend you get the samsung. It's brilliant.

I'm assuming you're going to be playing First Person Shooters such as Halo 3 on this television. I personally have difficulty playing on a tv that large for such games. I have also heard that the optimum television screen size for FPS games is a 32". What you really want to look for is the best refresh rate. It is different than the frame rate and I won't go into detail on explaining it. I will provide a link to it though.
