Which camera should I buy? Canon or Sony?

I want to buy a camera around 5 to10thousand in bellary city sony has a showroom, canon only got a dealer?

    go for SONY,bcz NIKON is good but only for Pro cameras,Canon is also good but less features,and nikons Macro system isnt good,SONY is best.I have one SONY W310 and the picture quality is so good,and the picture colour is perfect,even I compared my W310 with other cameras in www.snapshot.com,the recomend SONY W310,it is a good family camera and a good semi-pro camera,price is near about Rs.7200,and it is in ur badget.

Sony makes great cameras, with extraordinary battery life. I've had 2 Canon cameras fail one very early on, the other after a somewhat longer time. Canon customer support is not up to par.

Canon's A-series has a lot of bang for your buck, ehh, rupiah. Sony makes some nice cameras but I don't think they're as sturdy as the canons in the budget segment of the market. As to service.. would depend on the dealer.

$5000 to $10,000? No point at looking at sony, this is the price range of the professional DSLR's from Canon and Nikon.
