Why is there no "Miss White America" pageant but "Miss Black America" or "Miss Hispanic America" are OK?

Miss America IS Miss White America because most of the contestants and almost all of the winners are white. It would be redundant to have a Miss White America. And why do you guys always say we riot? Who are the majority winners of Miss America?

It's because the Miss America pagents usually choose a white woman or a white looking woman. Think about it, how often do you see a black woman or darker skinned hispanic woman win the pagent? So, the Miss Black/Hispanic America pagents are there to give them a chance as well. White women are certainly not be passed over. They always win, so why are you concerned about other races having a pagent?

Because that would be racist. They have black and hispanic Miss America's because we exude pride, but it seems as though white people can't seem to get together and celebrate pride, without hatred for some other race. Disgusting.

Because non-white women couldn't enter pageants like Miss America in the past, so they made their own pageants...

Its becuase blacks,latinas, asian were excluded from such events in the past. And if they were in the even they didnt win. And if they did win it was some big ordeal. Do not pretend that women of color did not (and still do somtimes today ) face discrimination. The original miss america pagent was miss white america. No minorities. This is a white dominated country. I dont like when ppl ask these questions because they pretend like there is not discrimination. I know what its like to be the only minority in something predominatly white and to be excluded and ignored. Having an all latina or all black event lets a person feel more comfortable, and it shows pride. Esp with blacks. You know that blacks have been beaten down for a long time, being called ugly, unattractive, blah blah, blah. If whites didnt exclude in the FIRST place we wouldnt need all of these seperate events. I wish we could all get along and participate in everything together and have an equal chance of winning. I agree it NOT ok, but society has made it this way.

I don't think it should be okay. Double standards are really stupid. In my opinion there shouldn't be a Miss White America, Miss Black America, Miss Latin America, etc. America represents any culture or ethnicity. So isn't a Miss America good enough?
