Out of Sony, LG & Samsung. Which is best brand to buy a 47" inch tv with good features?

personally first to get removed is LG. Sony and Samsung are both top competitors. But I would go with Samsung. Lately they have been taking the lead with quality and design.

Right, well you are going reasonably upmarket with some of those models.... The answer is that they are all good, but I'd discount the Sony as those models won't feature a Sony built panel, and you can find that even with the same model number the panels differ. All of the Samsung and LG models you list are good, though their features differ. The best way to go from here is to find a retailer that have them on display, see how you feel about the way they display, and how easy to use you find their "smart" features. Like all large flat panel TVs you may want to consider getting a soundbar at the same time, as while the picture is great, the response curve on their thin speakers can be a little off. Personal opinion here: The big problem with current get smart TVs is that the user interface isn't refined enough yet. I think LG is more polished, but it'll still confuse the hell out of anyone who isn't tech savvy. Samsung on the other hand is more "nuts and bolts" geek friendly. It's definitely a case of try before you buy. If you can't get on with the "smart" features of these devices you are not going to get the most from them!
