Why is the Ferrari FXX not street legal?

Your Ferrari FXX opinion?

  • Opinions on Ferrari's Enzo FXX, pointless or completely necessary for a true petrol head

  • Answer:

I was thinking pointless. So far, it is not nearly as popular as the Enzo. No one is going to buy one. It was just a waste of money for the company. Ferrari should be concentrating on making more cars for the road that more people can afford. Like a $130,000 car.

Very necessary to further Ferrari's technological development as a supercar manufacturer. Having both experienced, loyal customers and their F1 team members at the helm of the FXX lapping Ferrari's test track has assisted Ferrari in further fine-tuning their products. That expert input is essential and priceless for Ferrari's engineers. That was the whole point of the FXX. It will never be a street car, was never intended as a production car, and the few examples made will remain at the factory, never to be removed from Italy. If you have a spare few million dollars to buy in and maintain one of these cars, why not go for it? Ferrari asked, the people answered, Ferrari has their data. Everyone's happy.
