the game boy advance does not have a built in light. the SP does and u can toggle it on or off. all game boy games work with the SP. and normal advance.

no i have both (dont still play them) and a s.p has a light but gameboy advances do not and without one its really hard too see.

the gameboy advance sp screen is lit.but theres a little button to make it light it up more. and the gameboy color games work on both of those systems.
