just like songs are put into mp3 format for you ipod to read it, movies must be in a mp4 format. they take up very little space. i dont think that you can get movies off of DVDs onto your ipod unless they have digital copy, which most dont since they dont want illegal distribution of their movies to happen i know with Juno you can
