What's the easiest way to transfer songs from my iPod to the computer?

To put music from your iPod to computer, you have to go to "Computer" on your computer (with iPod plugged in), click on your ipod, go to "Tools" up in the corner, click on "Folder Options", click "View", make sure "Show hidden folders" is checked then go to iPod Control, Music, Copy all, paste in your iTunes or other music managing program. This SHOULD work. I don't know how you can preserve the files, I would recommend putting them on CD or on a memory stick. I think you could probably send them to yourself in an email by copy/pasting. I don't know!

I had the same problem a few weeks ago; my computer had a virus so I had to clear all of the files and needed a way to move music from my iPod to the computer. The easiest program to use for me was iDump.
