How can I put songs onto my ipod without itunes?

Can I put my itunes songs onto my friend's ipod without erasing her existing songs?

  • How would I transfer my music onto her iPod? Would she be able to sync her iPod to her computer and transfer my songs onto her library?

  • Answer:

I unerstand exactly what you mean. you just want to ad a few songs without wiping her out... no downloading, fliesaving or transfering involved. and yes it is possible. seriously you can, everyone else is wrong. if you want to move all the songs though, you can manually. an ipod can hold up to five differnt accounts before deleting one, it will notify you when this is about to happenWhen you plug her ipod into itunes, the main page for the ipod shows up. under her settings under the picture of the ipod, unclick sync and check the box that says manage music mannually. this will lallow you to hook an ipod to your computer and make changes your sefl, without losing all of her information she stored. an ipod can hold up to five accounts before deleting anything, and it will tell you before it does. I have done this with my ipod, its kinda like a music library mutt :) this works, i have done it to many many ipods and it is sad that people lose music just because they cannot use itunes well Source(s): im a teenager that spends time with ipods:)

An iPod can be synced with only one iTunes account at a time. once you switched to a new iTunes account or a new computer. You have to authorize your iPod to it at first, then you can upload music and video from the new iTunes to your iPod. But this way will overwrite the original files on iPod with the new iTunes. You may try this iPod transfer, it can help you copy files from iPod to computer for backup, you can also use it as an iTunes alternative to upload music and video. It will not erase your original iPod files. It's safe and works pretty well for me. http://goo.gl/fEA2j Hope this helps.

Nope... you can only have your device synced to ONE computer. Sorry!

Your friend will have to download your music on to her iTunes program/library (on the computer) and then sync her iPod. It will keep both hers songs on her iPod and add the new songs you downloaded to her library. Otherwise, if you just plug in her iPod to your music, than it will delete all her songs and only replace them with yours. Hope that helps :)
