Why are there more HD channels in satellite versus?

Is it worth spending more money on Full HD Ready LCD TV in India if one is only watching Satellite TV channels?

  • Does the satellite tv broadcast in India allows the user to exploit the potential of Full HD ready screen resolutions of 1920 X 1080 pixels.

  • Answer:

If all you are getting is standard digital signal, then no. It will cost you less money and provide a better picture by retaining your current style of TV. Go larger if you need to replace your set, but early adopters to budding HD technology often lament their decision to be the first to convert.

Well, some satellite companies are broadcasting in HD so if they are available in your area and you subscribe to those channels, it is worth it. Also, if you want access to the best at home entertainment, which is currently Blu-Ray HD discs, then the TV is definitely worth it! But you should check with your local channels to see if they broadcast in full 1080p or 1080i.

Some countrys does not have high definition (720P) tv yet, some are in the 480 which is DVD quality. Buying a 1080P is not recommended and the only source of 1080P in the market now is the Blue Ray Disc movies. You can spend the extra money for 1080P and be ready for the future if you want.
