I have a sony LCD and it doesnt use any antennas. I was just wondering how do I set it up in order for me to watch the free channels.

Answer:
I am pretty sure that it should work with an antenna, if it's a newer television and it has a connector called "Cable", even though it says came, it should still work with an antenna, it just means that it has a built-in ClearQAM tuner along with an ATSC tuner, when you connect the antenna, go through your settings and select TV on the CATV/TV selection screen, then just do a channel scan, all coax connections can support an antenna, even if it's not labeled for it, it just needs a setting changed for it If you have an LCD monitor (LCD television with no coax connection), go out and get a DTV tuner, (it may be a good idea to go for an HDTV tuner if the LCD TV is an HDTV), then you connect the digital tuner to the television via HDMI, Component, or if the TV is not an HDTV, Composite

You need an antenna to receive free over the air signals. All TVs have either a built in antenna or a place to connect an external antenna. Look around the back of the TV. If you have a problem add the make & model number of your TV to the question; it should be on a label on the lower back of the TV. If the antenna connector has been broken off* , a converter box or old VCR can be used as a tuner if the TV has A/V input connectors. * a suspicious round hole in the lower back of the TV marked "RF", "Ant", or something like that If you can't get antenna reception, it's possible to watch TV over high speed Internet. (Try http://www.hulu.com to start with). Your computer might have some sort of output that is compatible with your TV.

You did not say you had a TV receiver, just an Sony LCD. Is this a monitor? You need to establish what type of connectivity you have on the set. RCA, F, VGA or what. RCA is the round connector with a hole in the middle with NO threads. "F" is a round connector with a hole in the middle with threads and a VGA can be a 9 or 15 pin cannon connector. If you have the "F" connector, or RCA, just get a ASTC (Digital Tuner and make the connection. The Best signal will be provide via HDMI, but I am betting you do not have that connectivity. Next would be component, followed by composit, S-video, and F.

You need a adaptor that goes into the cable jack and then hook the rabbit ears up to it..You can get them just about anywhere that sells electronics.
