    The longer you wait the cheaper they'll probably get. For instance, the Sanyo 42" that I bought at Wal Mart in July is now a hundred dollars less than it was. My wife says that this is fine because she has got her hundred dollars worth of enjoyment out of it. I suppose that it depends how you look at it.

I always seem to get better deals on electronics in general during the Black Friday sales, though it's been awhile since I bought a TV.

Obviously prices will always continue to drop. One of the other price breaks is when the new models start coming out, probably in Feb. You may also find many returned TVs after the Superbowl that "just didn't work out" that you could get a deal on.

Prices after christmas will probably be around the same as the black friday sales. They probably wont dip much lower than that unless you get some of the "opened" returned items, those can be a good deal. LCD/plasma depends on what your using it for, gaming AND movies/tv id go lcd, also lcd is better if you are going to be viewing from an angle. good luck!
