My swim club's only requirement was the ability to swim from one end of the pool to the other without touching the bottom. I wanted to learn the stroke ahead of time so I went to a local YMCA and learned the four strokes there (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle) If you don't want to spend your money on that, you can just sign up.

Hello, The strokes that you will need to know is the breast stroke, butterfly, freestyle, and backstroke. In the butterfly stroke you just swim moving your arms in a butterfly motion. Backstroke you swim on your back, lol moving your arms backward. Breast Stroke and free style are hard to explain. That'ss all I really know. Good luck and I hope you make the swim team.
