    That's like comparing a toothbrush and a lawn mower; they're used for completely different purposes. Similarily, a camera takes pictures while the itouch doesnt. The iTouch lets you download music, recieve messages, use applications, play games, surf the net, and much more- but doesn't let you take pictures. Ultimately, your decision lies on what's most important to you, a camera or a portable do-everything media player.

Do you want to take pictures, or listen to music and play games? If pictures, get a camera. If not, get an iTouch

Camera will only take pictures and that's it. iTouch can be your next computer. You can go on internet, play games, listen to music, etc. If I were you, I'd surely go with iTouch.

I would personally go with the camera because if the mp3 part is the important part, most cell phones have that built in and you can get memory cards to expand the amount you can listen to on them. If it is mp3 and videos, you can get mp4's which is what the ipod touch is, for a lot cheaper if you just search for them on google products. One example is below.
