How can I made people to consider me for the full time programming job irrespective for my young age of 19?

  • What I don't have: A degree. I decided to drop out and start learning myself. Age. Seriously I don't even look like 19 because of my slim body. Any experience in using development methodolies, team work, working on big corporate projects..... What I have: I have good programming knowledge and years of experience. Worked as a freelance contract for 2 months. Couples of certificates from reputed organisation. Developed a medium sized software myself alone. A personal blog. I am a quick learner So, the problem is people don't take me seriously because of my young age. They consider me a kid with very little knowledge. So, How can I make peoples to consider me for the job irrespective of the age?

Try in some product based companies and more specifically with startups.. They really value talent over degree and you will be worth a great hire for them as well in achieving their goal.

get your basics of CS clear, learn atleast one programming language (in demand), learn how to debug, learn how to read others code, start coding, start with online competitions and then small projects on github, build a profile by StackOverflow,GitHub, freelancing, etc Look out and apply, meanwhile repeat most of the above steps. PS: typing from mobile will add details ASAP.
