  • Answer:

Now hold up sis. You ain't never heard about nobody serving no ham hocks and shyt on Kwanzaa and there is no limit on the number of dishes served either. Kwanzaa was conceived by a Muslim teacher, Maulana Karenga, and the number 7 is significant for the symbols, days, and spiritual principles. Let's get that straight first. As far as the "traditional" dishes are concerned, okra, corn, spinach, kale, carrots, and turnips for veggies, sweet potatoes, rice, cocous, beans, black eyed peas for starches, and fish, chicken, turkey, or beef for meats. There are a gazillion combos you can do with this but a real Kwanzaa feast will not have any pork, alcohol, tobacco, or drugs at the gathering. Peace.
