Correspondence courses in cake decorating?.?

Year ago in Canada, I was on a bus and saw the ICS ad for course, they had one here for Gourmet Cooking and Catering, my only issue was, I took an ICS course back in the 1970s with my chefs apprenticeship here in Toronto ON, I had to send back the assignment in the mail to have them marked and graded, I could not figure or fathom how you would send assignment for that course and the CD one you are interested back and forth in the mail, most of the work with ICS is done on line with your computer now, however they require you to buy course materials from them, I was interested in a C++/Visual Basic programming course, I am a computer tech and built my own computer, they wanted me to pay $7000 C for the books, a new computer and materials I did not need, you most likely have all the pans and equipment now.
