Can you make tomato soup out of tomato paste? If so how?

Okay I tried this and it was pretty good. 1 medium onion thinly sliced 1 garlic clove minced 2 tbsp veggie oil 1 tbsp butter 3 large tomatoes sliced 1/2 tsp salt pinch pepper 1-6 oz can tomato paste 1/4 cup flour 2 cups water divided 3/4 cup whipping cream whipped 1-2 tbsp finely chopped fresh dill, or 1-2 tsp dill weed In large pan saute the onions and garlic in the oil until tender, add the tomatoes, and salt and pepper. Until heated thru remove from heat and add the tomato paste. In a small bowl mix the 1/2 of the water and the flour, pour into sauce pan and stir intil smooth, gradually add remaining water. Cook and stir for 2 min until it has thickened somewhat. Place a sieve over a large bowl and pour the tomato mix, press with the back of a wooden spoon to remove the seeds and skins. Return to pan and add cream and dill, heat thru and serve. Be careful not to boil it. Or you could just try diluting it with some milk, cream or canned milk. Add some seasonings such as celery salt, granulated garlic, and onion powder and a little salt and pepper. You never know what youo may end up with in the end.

adding water to it will make soup. have to add enough water to dissolve it completely

Thats a good question. I mean, you can't just smash tomatoes....that would be odd......and I couldnt see that happening. Maybe you could do that---but to be sure, look up how to make tomato soup. That would help. I have random cravings a lot too. Good luck

you could make it that way, but it probably wouldn't taste like tomato soup and would have a slight bitter taste.
