You've been putting unleaded in your car already.....just a higher octane. Go ahead and use the lower octane and if it runs fine (and it should) keep it up.

Go to your owners manual to see what VW recommends. If your car was designed and engineered to run on premium gas it would only make sense to use it.

ALL gas sold in the US is unleaded. As to which to use for YOUR car, see the owner's manual for the grade needed. Using a lower grade will reduce performance and could harm the engine, using a higher grade is unnecessary and a waste of money.
