What is good vocal training software?

What is a good LMS system for a small software company looking to track learning and training progress of its junior developers?

  • We have about 15 junior developers and our training has been a bit haphazard.  Most of it is self-driven and self-paced but the take rate is variable.  Is there a simple system that would help us create a roadmap for the expected learning/training that a developer should undertake in say year 1, and provide a way for their manager to track progress. It would also provide the developer with a guided timetable. Edit: We have looked at Moodle and other open source systems. Although we are a dev shop, and could implement these, we are hoping to find some easier to use systems, possibly hosted solutions.

have a look at http://www.joomlalms.com They provide a full implementation of their system.

Take a look at Pathgather (http://pathgather.com), they are doing very cool things in this space. Instead of being confined to one specific training program, you can aggregate course material from all of the big online course providers. Your developers can create a path and follow that to completion while having the oversight and tracking from your managers. It is the first social learning platform for the enterprise.

How about Moodle? It's opensource and highly customizable..

Check one of the following: http://talentlms.com, http://litmos.com or http://docebo.com My favorite is talentlms but my opinion is biased. Any of the above will fit your need for an easy lms. Much-much-much easier than Moodle.

I've worked on a number of custom LMS/CMS implementations. Based on what you've shared, Moodle is likely your best low-cost / open source option. There's a solid developer community behind it, consistent documentation and it's really pretty easy to build on top of it.

Hey guys, you definetely want to get a SaaS ready to roll product. Your requirements are 101. I tell you 3 products, among which the company I represent. You take a peek at Litmos, Talent, Docebo.  You guys are a small shop and must be able to do what you need for about $100 bux per month. Find an active based users model product in any case. At Docebo we got plans starting small and increasing up to Enterprise. If you need a quick help in how to get up to speed shoot me a msg. Cheers.

http://Worldclass.io Off-the-Shelf solution, hosted, could be free if you don't have many employees (or cheap anyway) and has all the features you mentioned.
