Why is that everyone talks about Pittsburgh in hockey and not Detroit which is way better team?

because the wings are usually in the playoffs everyyear and th pens havent been this far in a while and everyone knos the pens are way better

Personally, I've heard talk of both the Pens and the Wings, and I live in Pittsburgh. Just TODAY I read 2 articles in one of Pittsburgh's two big newspapers (it was the Post-Gazette). The 1st article was about how much Pens players have been following the Wings/Stars series, and what they think of the Wings. The 2nd article was about the Wings/Stars series in general. I might be a Pens fan, but I'm not silly enough to say the Wings suck. I think the Wings are the best of the West and the Penguins are the best of the East. I'm excited about the possibility of those two teams meeting in the Stanley Cup Finals. By the way... Detroit being a way better team is your OPINION. Not everyone will or has to agree with you.

Anybody who says Detroit is "way better" apparently doesn't follow hockey too closely. Everyone talks about the Pens because they have stars and they turned around a crappy franchise. The Red Wings seem to be in the playoffs perennially. Detroit looks to be the faster team but I think it will be a close series...not a one-sided one.

the red wings are in the western conference and the western conference really stinks and the the redwings are probably alomst the same or less as the pens......if they were in the easrtern conference it would be a whole different story.......the pens have better and a lot more super stars....better defense and better offense
