Can't insert car key into ignition barrel and its not turning?

try getting a new ignition barrel the stirring wheel is locked because of the barrel

While trying to turn the key, 1) Try turning the steering wheel a little. 2) Try moving the shift lever. Either can bind the mechanism.

That is what happened to me I later found out the reason was because some one had tried to steal my car and they messed it all up. Better check to see if that is your problem.

This happened to me once before and I soaked the key in WD40 and that worked. Hope this helps.
