Why do those teen/tween magazines over exaggerate things?

Maybe it is really horrible because as a 14 year old, she doesn't really know what a relationship is like, let alone how to navigate a break-up. No matter what her celebrity status is, she probably isn't mature enough, and if the guy was about the same age, the same can probably be said for him. I'm 20, almost 21, and I don't know if I'm mature enough! Anyway, things always get blown out of proportion so that people will pay attention and get drawn in, allowing the magazine company to make a profit off of its target audience.
