Do you think I could modify a Ford Escape and make a vehicle similar to a Jeep Wrangler?

do you mean chop off the top? it can be done but you'd have so much money into it that you could just buy a jeep

why modify something to try and be a jeep when you can just go and buy a REAL JEEP. it will cost you thousands of dollars, require a lot of re-engineering, structural strengthening, re-orientating the front drive layout into a rear drive layout, installing a transfer case, installing solid axles , and a 4.0L jeep inline 6 cylinder engine which will not fit the escape. if you really want a small suv then go and buy a wrangler or older cj-5 or cj-7 or even an amc eagle 4x4.the eagle is mated to the cj-7 frame and drivetrain . it was created by mating the concord 2 dorr, 4 door, or wagon spirit hatchback or the gremlin to the cj-7 frame and drivetrain . owned an eagle wagon for 5 years and never got it stuck off roading or mud bogging.

Do you have any fabrication skills? Any knowledge of automotive engineering? Or were you going to pay somebody for this? So many people ask questions here in Yahoo, but don't provide any background info for us to give you any sort of reasonable answer. You still come back here and ask, though...
