How to parallelize single function in R?

How do you integrate the Hankel function: r*Hankel(r)?

  • Integral of r times by hankel function of first kind of zero order , from 0 to a , I use mathematica : Integrate[ r * HankelH1[0,r],{r,0,a}] and I get the result but I have to show it by hand  . thanks

  • Answer:

You have to show it by hand? That's a pain. The Hankel functions are a different basis for the Bessel functions, and these have very useful orthogonality identities. Try to rearrange your integral to take advantage of some of these identities. There's not a one-size-fits-all trick.
