What is a good price to pay for an 08 Honda Civic SI?
-
I am looking for a new 08 Honda Civic Si, and I see dealerships price these at around $21-22k. I was wondering how much do you think I can knock off from the dealers price?

Answer:
First off, are you looking to buy a sedan (4 doors) or the coupe (2 doors)? Expect to pay about $200 more for the extra two doors. I got my 07 Si coupe for 20,990. It took me about two months of searching and about 10 dealership. I also searched Craigslist and eBay. It was for a plain white Si with NO options. Who would have thought it was that long and that hard? I think if you can get the coupe for 21780 (MSRP), then it would be a good deal. Anything less than MSRP would be GREAT! Good luck on your car search

That is very unlikely, but apparently the color could be a factor which pissed me off. Recently I went to a honda dealership and they were trying to initially sell it to me for $26K. I knew the base MSRP was less than that. We were able to get the price down to $22k plus fees. However, on the lot they had a silver civic SI for less than 21K, but since I wanted the habanero red, they wouldn't price it the same as the silver. We were still unsure and walked away. But I'm thinking that we walked away at the general lowest price they are selling these cars.

the civic's are hot cars right now because of the recently redesigned look but mostly because they are economical, if your trying to buy a civic and get a deal on it. right now is not the time to do it, there is a non-negotiable 2k premium on all new civic's right now. your best chance would be negotiating a low APR. good luck

not much i have a friend that works at a honda dealer and he told me they are offering no specials on the civic and they will not give you a discount because everyone wants a civic because of the mpg it gives you.

not much...honda civics are in hot demand at this time...i know from experience we bought one on the fourth of july it took ten days to get one in...due to gas prices its made them hard to find...you would do better to get a lower finance rate such as the 2.9
