What is the best way to study for vocabulary words?

Does anyone know an easy program for students to add vocabulary words found on the internet to a study list?

  I'm afraid I can't think of much, except for a couple computer programs into which one can copy and paste information from the internet manually. I'm not sure if it will work, but Microsoft has a free download for Tablet PCs that includes a flash card program. You essentially make a set of flash cards in which there can be writing on both sides of an index card-like window, then can review the cards, in order or at random, timed or not. This program, Ink Flash Cards, comes with the Microsoft education pack for Tablet PCs, so I'm not sure it will work on whatever computers you are using, but I don't think it would hurt to try: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/tabletpc/educationpack/default.mspx
