    It's impossible to know how the Camaro in Transformers would perform exactly because no one tested it since it was meant to be a movie prop but it was a newer GTO with a 2010 Camaro styled fiberglass body and interior. What is known is that the 2010 Special Edition Transformers package that could be ordered for some yellow 2010 Camaros at the dealership was a cosmetic option only- no performance upgrade there. Then the question really is: what Camaro and what Mustang are you really comparing here? If you compare the equally priced 2010 Camaro SS and 2010 Mustang GT then the winner in 0-30mph times is the Mustang at 1.9 seconds vs the Camaro at 2.0 seconds. The Mustang would take the Camaro off the line because of it's lighter weight(about a 1/4 ton!) . At 0-60mph the Camaro wins at 4.7 seconds vs the Mustang at 4.9 seconds. The Camaro wins at this point because of it's 426hp vs 315hp in the Mustang. The Camaro also wins in the quarter mile at 13.0 seconds @ 111mph vs 13.5 seconds @ 104mph for the Mustang. As far as handling goes the Mustang wins for it's lighter weight which gives it more nimble cornering and stability. Having said all that the 2011 Camaro is no match for the 2011 Mustang. The Mustang beats it in virtually every category in both v6 and v8 versions.

According to the sales figures.... Mustang by a landslide. Everything else is just conjecture. With enough money you could make either perform better than the other one.

Which one has been in production for almost 50 years NONE STOP????? And what make/topic are you in, cause that'll probably affect your answers A LOT Not to mention the first transformers movie came out in 2007 when the new camaro was still a concept, and possibly nothing special, (wheres as I'm pretty sure the mustang in the movie was a saleen) so there's a decent chance that a 2010 would win still win because the camaro is still at least 750 lbs HEAVIER than 5th gen mustangs (and needless a 2011 GT would destroy it)

i would wait until the 2012 when the BOSS comes back !!!!!

you know how much sh*t this question starts up lol honestly im a mustang owner but i do like camaro as well my gf has one and i like driving it but anyways, the 2010 mustang is slower than the 2011 by alot by ford re introducing the 5.0 again the GT which was generally slower than the z28 is now faster than the camaro SS its all about the stats in this case if the drivers were the same look up a vid on it, beginning is funny lol http://www.viddler.com/explore/2RUSTY22/videos/5/ another

Drivers are never equal. Cars are fairly equal, but still have differences. This rivalry has been going on for decades and it just bounces back and forth, and it ALWAYS comes down to the driver and the race track used.
