Can people actually watch movies in the Grauman's Chinese Theatre?

Why are B / C grade movies even made despite their low quality, content and technique?

  • In some countries due to budget constraints, making of  B/C grade movies can be justified. However, in general I do not understand why they are made because the audience still has to pay to buy the DVD or go to the theatre. Why do people watch them despite the content, quality, technique and artistic contribution is next to none in them. Those movies may have sex as a general theme but for that there are ample soft/hard porn stuff available, why to make a movie?

  • Answer:

Short Answer -  Because their are lot of B or C grade people out their to watch those movies.

To be frank.. As disturbing as it sounds,Many people do not have access to internet or CD/DVD players. For them these movies are the only source of "entertainment" if you know what I mean. People are always there to en cash these weaknesses. They don't build a movie. They just build filler scenes around the "entertaining" scenes.. Hardly any effort,So mainly low quality.

There are a lot of reasons:Number one: just because someone can't fund a big budget film doesn't mean they don't fancy themselves a film maker. Why do baseball players play in the minor leagues?  The pay sucks, the travel sucks and the product on the field isn't nearly as good or entertaining as at a big league game. But you hope you can work your way up. I don't think many of the big name directors cut their teeth on films with mega budgets. They had to start somewhere.  And beleive it or not, money or not, talent or not, some people just love making movies. This is the little guy's access to big things. Do you want to deny them their opportunity?  Same for the actors, the film crews, the producers, etc, etc. Two - some people enjoy these things. I like horror films. Many, if not most would fall into the B/C categories. But I like what I like. I give a low budget, poorly produced movie a lot of leeway if the story line interests me. I am fine using my imagination to supplement the film. Three - making money. The Walmart of movies. Produce a crappy product at a low price and sell enough of it to make a little money. That's pretty easy to understand. I'm sure there are many more reasons.  At the end of the day you are totally in charge of your decision to view or not to view.
