ok well let me just say this ,whoever told you it slows you down is ......... never mind , dual exhaust gives you more horse power NOT ALOT and i doubt you will notice a difference and since your running a 8 cylinder it will do you a good deed on fuel economy, yes i said id fuel economy , duals do more then make your truck sound like a beast it allows air to flow more freely from the manifold with duals your EG-T's (exhaust gas temperatures ) will be lower then they where before . all i want to know is are these true duals which is a separate exhaust system for each side and each have there own muffler or running through the same muffler because true duals are more efficient , true duals have there own muffler on each side , personally you should get dual straight pipes then all your friends will SHI*T there pants when you smoke your tires off at the line lol it gives you way more power for way cheaper ,and duals come easy your truck will be loud. one bad thing about dual exhaust is one side tends to shake more then the other like sometimes even falling off im some cases i have seen . save yourself 500$ go down to your local muffler shop and get cherry bombs or flow masters you cant go wrong take my advice dodge dakotas will look queer with duals anyways just get some loud FU*KI*N pipe on that MOTHER

you will only get a gain in performance since it will evacuate the exhaust faster. The key is to install the proper diameter exhaust tubing to maintain the correct back pressure. Most people make the mistake of installing too large of tubing, it needs to be fitted in correlation of your engine size and also your type of induction. So there are no cons, only performance gains (if you have the correct exhaust tubing diameter installed) with a decent set of mufflers, and a high flow muffler set is recommended with a crossover pipe before the mufflers.

to keep it simple.. will make it louder and have more rumble all depend what u put on for exhaust. gives you more horse power and betetr fuel mileage. if you aqre goign to go threw the bother of puttign true duals on i would invest in some cheap headers ad quit a bit more HP and gives it a reall ncie sound

I assume you are talking about true duals not just a single exhaust thats split at the end. Properly done you can gain power. Do it wrong and you can lose power.
