What to put in a time capsule?

A news paper.Or anything with the date on it

A dollar bill, pictures of Obama (if you live in the US), your favourite band's pictures, notes about what you think of your friends, etc.

If you live in the US I would change the dollar to a Quarter from whatever state you are living in. Other ideas: -A photo of you and your friends -Go ahead and get a camera and take some photos that day of parents, pets, and siblings (they aren't always going to be around you know) then, get them developed right before you bury the thing. -A CD of your favorite band (not only will it be cool to see how/if you musical taste has change it will be cool to see the difference in technology as well) -if you are old enough a bottle of your favorite wine/liquor (wouldn't it be fun to celebrate a glass of wine you loved from so long ago when you open it up?) -A List of things that you want to do with your life. -A report card -A scented candle in your favorite smell. -Prom dress (if you are old enough)/dress you wore on your first date/ first communion -A bottle of body spray that you love These are just some ideas off the top of my head but I hope they help!

A newpaper front page to establish the date. Music CDs (although they may not be playable in 40 or 50 years). Photocopies of interesting or significant pages from your journal. A letter to your future self or to whoever may open it. Something collectible, like a flag or an action figure.

memories. Put coins, a dollar bill (nice one) a pencil. common things that might look strange in the future. Like...pictures of you and your family. clothes. Drawings and pressed leaves and flowers. Your diary (maybe you'll be like Anne Frank) a battery. A broken radio and a book. Yea, put a very recent book in there, and in the future, they will be like "i found an old book!" maybe, if you can, take a vial and fill it with water, or grass, or a strand of hair. maybe put in a magazine too. just for fun. if none of these work, just think of what makes you YOU. Put in stuff that makes up who you are, like an album or something.

Pictures -- definitely! They always belong in a time capsule [: Lets see, what else...? Jeans would be cool [so you can see how fashion has changed] A dollar bill would be cool too, because money does change every so often. Hmmm... A wrapper of your favorite candy, or food A list of your favorite bands, or music. Maybe a stuffed animal. A short list or something of your dreams and goals and aspirations. A picture of your school, friends, family, pets, etc. [depending on who the capsule is meant to be opened by] And just what ever else you want. Something that's memorable, but not too valuable. put clothes that are really in right now and pictures of you and your friends. Write a letter to your self about how you think the future will be like and what you will be or become.

Put things that were important or invented in 2009. And in the pictures, you should take them of yourself/ves with things that you loved to wear. Maybe even a journal of your day to day life in it. Like if you own a journal now, you should put it in there. Just some ideas, hope they helped!
