How much can be differennt between Audi parts and ford parts?

You are comparing a german car and an american car. Of course they are different. Naturally the parts are higher price for an audi, but it doesn't break down that often. And if you really don't want to spend lots of time fixing your car then get a japanese car (like a subaru). Some fords are good though, but generally american cars loose out to japanese and european cars.

I would consider an Audi a higher end car than a comparable Ford. In very general terms, the more expensive the car cost when it was new, the more expensive replacement parts will be,even when the car gets old. In addition, parts for an foreign make car will usually cost more than parts for a domestic model.
