Can a Acura integra beat a Nissan skyline R32? Plz help.?

99.9% of all skylines are 4 cylinder family sedans and taxi cabs. Kind of like the Integra. Only the rare few are the turbo 6 cylinder GT-Rs, and even those aren't fast. 14 second cars in 1/4 mile, slower than a 90s mustang Cobra. Just go buy a 96-98 cobra instead of wasting money on an Integra and you'll have a better chassis, better engine, better overall car than either the Skyline or the Integra.

Yeah, right. Your "friend" doesn't have a Skyline R32. You can't legally own one in the US anyway. Why? It's because they don't meet safety and emission standards. The Skyline was never intended for the US market. As for you, you probably don't have that of money to spend on modifications.

The amount of money you are going to pour into make your integra come even close to consistently beating the skyline is several times more than the car is worth. They compete at two very different levels and a modded skyline can hang with the big V8 crowd vs an integra that can barely hang against modern 4 cyinders. How do I know - I used to drive a 2001 Integra and it was SLOW... If you are determined to spend a lot of $$ and do an engine swap and handling mods to go with it, you might as well buy a faster car to begin with. Just doesn't make sense to throw 3 to 5000 dollars on a 1500 dollar car in the hope of catching an obsolete nissan, no? Maybe buy a mid 90's Q45 for a few hundred dollars and make our friend play catch-up

someone from the crew im in has a civic hatch that beat skylines all day on the 1/4 you would need ALOT of money things i would personally recommend but you know everyone has a diff opinion K20a2 or K20z3 swap forged internals (pistons, rods, etc) build your head a little (valvetrain components: Springs, retainers, pushrods, valves, etc) some good brand sleeves that are not bored over too much because you should boost your car, bore the cylinders in your cylinder head [combustion chamber] to lower compression), maybe silghtly thicker head gasket. might want an aftermarket oil pump, if not then the type S oil pump would be nice. a nice ramhead turbo manifold, a decent size turbo i could honestly go on all dy but it would take too long lighten your car, strip it and etc stiff suspension, i would recommend stiffer in back and softer in front to keep your front wheels on the ground during launch do not go half *** on a tune, spend that money because a good tune willd o it for you
