How did Obama win the Nobel PEACE Prize? Hopefully he stopped the war and I haven't heard about it yet?

I realized the Peace Prize had lost it's significance when Gore won it.

i just read that. this is really getting crazy!

Last I heard the Pres is dealing with an increasingly deadly war in Afghanistan. They should've waited at least another year. They don't even know if he's going to follow through on Gen. McChrystal's request for 40000 more troops for Afghanistan. If Obama does, the Nobel people are going to look awfully stupid.

this one caught me off guard, too, and i'm a liberal democrat... something doesn't seem right. i know he really changed the tone of US foreign policy from bush, but i don't think he's deserving of the nobel prize just yet.

Al Gore won it as well for ripping off people and making millions on global warming. Politics in those prizes and politicians are crooks. It is a vicious circle. Obama- "I don't know the details but I think the cop acted poorly." Me- "I think you are full of sh*t!" Yea he is really gotten things peaceful.

I just saw this on CNN, I thought, what? Is this a joke? No, wait, it's 3am. Oh wow, they are serious. I support Obama as our president and I hope that he does well, but giving him the Nobel Peace Prize is a bit early, no? It hasn't even been a year yet.

Nobel is rolling in his crypt. But he has been spinning since they started giving the "PEACE" prize to terrorist (Began and Arafat) not to mention clowns like Al Gore.

He was nominated less than 2 weeks after his inauguration. Must have been a heck of a 2 weeks.
