Grown up version Most tigers live in forests and grasslands, for which their camouflage is ideally suited, and where it is easy to hunt prey that is faster or more agile. Among the big cats, only the tiger and jaguar are strong swimmers; tigers are often found bathing in ponds, lakes, and rivers. Tigers hunt alone and eat primarily medium-sized herbivores such as deer, wild pigs, and buffalo. However, they will also take larger or smaller prey on occasion. Humans are the tiger's only serious predator and often kill tigers illegally for their fur. of course no

Honestly to get a second grader interested I would use the Zoobook's Tiger Edition. When I was in that grade I loved them. The pictures keep the younger mind interested while they have the opportunity to gain some knowledge. I hope that you brother would like them. They are usually at any library.

try www.enchanted.learning.com also, most zoos have naturalists that get paid to answer questions - if you call the Saint Louis Zoo at 314-781-0900 & ask for the education department, they may be able to give you some good resources -- good luck!

Great reason to take him to the zoo. Well if you have a zoo with tigers nearby. Check out the local video store ask the clerk(s) if they have anything about tigers. There are tigers that live in snowy areas too. Those are always cool pictures to see.
