How much is Malaysian income tax for others?

Why does other countries have income tax and others do not?

• Out of my curiosity, this question just popped out my mind. I wonder if other countries can stand without enforcing income tax, why does others can't? What are their government source of income or alternative to income tax if that country does not have income tax? What is your advise to eliminate income tax?

  Taxes are mainly used to keep the government/country running. Taxes pay for infrastructure projects, domestic/foreign security, government organizations that regulate/create rules for the safety of the country (like FDA, DEA), and more. Most of the government revenue/money comes from taxes. Larger governments, like America's government, needs a lot of money to run ($60+ billion daily). Graduated income taxes help give America's government the money it needs to run, because everyone earning is contributing a part of their earnings to the government. Smaller governments might not need as much money to survive, so they get their revenue from import taxes, real estate taxes, clothing taxes, etc. Other countries feel that an income tax violates their rights, so they choose not to have one. Countries do/do not have income taxes based upon the size/spending of the government (large gov't need more money so they need income taxes), and their belief on taxes. Everything depends on how much the government spends. Other taxes for revenue can be clothing taxes, food taxes, real estate tax, car taxes. Other sources of revenue can be bonds, tolls (not really though)
