What is Differentiation Focus Strategy?

How would you define the title and describe the role of a senior manager with a laser focus on Content Management?

• I have a strong background in journalism and marketing strategy. I've managed tons of content strategy and development work under the guise of Marketing Strategy/Management. I'd like to narrow my focus and find a role in the Content Strategy/Management arena. I'm known to be a great storyteller and writer, with strong business acumen and an empathetic eye for what the consumer values. The problem? Well, many companies seem to have their OWN definition of what Content Management is. Whether it's solely social media, website CM work, copywriting, etc. I look actually look at the full scale of content, target audience, distribution, performance metrics and how they impact the overall marketing ROI and more. Due to my background, I am highly skilled in marketing, so I'd love to take a holistic view of ensuring that the content strategies are relevant to the business goals and are seamless integrated into existing/upcoming marketing efforts. I'd love it if you guys could lend your expertise around the types of roles I should be looking for (titles if you have them, although I know they will vary across the board per company) and any advice on how I can effectively make the switch.  Thank you!
