Like last month--most schools announce the results in early March. Ask your counselor about getting a Fed form for income eligibility and do it with your parents like yesterday. Then call ALL THE SCHOOLS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN and find out the deadlines and get a catalog and application (in duplicate, if you screw one up) Your Thanksgiving and Xmas breaks will be full of filling them out and writing the essays they all seem to require (make copies). Sign up for SAT's NOW, and ACT's if some schools require them. Meet regularly with counselor to submit stuff sand see if you're on the tracks. Do NOT ignore state schools--some of them have just the programs you want, and for a lot less. I would up at Illinois and my GPA got me a fellowship at DUKE, not my first choice for grad school either, but both were great choices and gave me some of the best years of my life. AND BUG THE HELL OUT OF THE RIGHT TEACHERS--you MUST have good letters of recommendation, and asking for permission to copy is the mature thing to do. But don't waste a day--there's much to do. All this advice is premature, of course, but save it so you'l know what has to be on your mind, and if you start this process in Sept. 2009 you won't be too early. When everyone else is having hissy fits next year, you can smile like you know something nobody else does. Oh and another tip. Every Fall US News and World Report brings out its college rankings, though they don't go into specific programs. This year's should be a good introduction, and I think it comes out in Sept.-Oct. Get it at a major bookstore like Barnes & Noble. And yes, if I haven't retired, write me next fall for moral support if you need it--but by then you may not need me, a humble English and Philosophy prof who occasionally does retail design on the side.

Well...that all depends on the scholarship. Some require you to apply during you sophomore, junior or senior year. Majority of them requires you to apply junior year. You should start searching for them now and make a planner writing down all the dates of the deadline. Check you guidance counselor for scholarships and obviously FASTWEB. Good luck.

Sooner is better because it's getting harder to get a scholarship these days. Maybe you can go to below website. It's about scholarships information. Good luck

Right now. Wait another month and you will lose out on some opportunities.
