What are some good colleges for a film making major?

Any good public or affordabe private universities for Film Making?

• I want to study Film Making, but the best ones (USC, NYU) are private and icant afford them. So can anybody tell me about any good colleges/unis offering film making degrees?

  i used to live in LA and i can tell you that hollywood is a mecca for any would be actor/actress/musician/filmaker...there'... everything there for every aspect of show biz...i mean every aspect...I know entertainment education is one of them...being into music I can only suggest Trebas Institute ...you might want to call them...they can tell you if they have any programs available or give you a reference...if the receptionist doesnt know, ask him/her if they can put you in touch w/ someone who does...if you want something attack it at the source...Trebas is in Hollywood...gl...
