Here are our three predictions for the top digital marketing trends in 2014: (Excerpt from http://blog.wishpond.com/post/70400218630/marketing-predictions-the-5-biggest-things-of-2014) 1. Visual Content 2014 will see a rise in visual content, and a decrease in the reign of heavy text-based blog articles. Iâm not even going to mention that 2014 will see another increase in content marketing budgets - hopefully our readers know that content is king. If youâre not putting a sizeable share of your marketing budget into content marketing you need to re-evaluate your business plan. Of course content marketing will grow. Iâm saying itâs going to grow in a particular direction, and that direction is toward visuals. Photo editing tools are getting more accessible (I, for instance, used PhotoShop to make the awesome dinosaur header image above). A little bit of time and energy (or an awesome graphic designer) can put together the same statistics, facts, and writing skills that you use in a blog article and put it into a visually appealing format. Visual content is shared more, gets more engagement on social, communicates information quicker and easier than text, and, as a result, is worth more in SEO. Because of this, visual content has the best http://blog.wishpond.com/post/70400218630/marketing-predictions-the-5-biggest-things-of-2014 currently available to content marketers. What itâs going to look like: Video: Whether itâs http://blog.wishpond.com/post/70200236356/4-things-you-can-do-with-embedded-facebook-posts-guest(did you know you could do that?), using a 45 second marketing video on your businessâ landing pages, or doing everything you can to http://business.financialpost.com/2013/12/11/westjet-airlines-ltd-performs-christmas-marketing-miracle-with-viral-video/, video marketing will see a surge in 2014. SEO rewards videos. Theyâre shareable, and - if you do it right - they could be a huge boon for your business. Test a video on your websiteâs homepage or producthttp://blog.wishpond.com/post/70400218630/marketing-predictions-the-5-biggest-things-of-2014, as theyâve been shown to increase conversion rates byhttp://www.slideshare.net/WishpondTechnologiesLtd/why-visual-content-will-dominate-2014-29161055and more. Infographics: If you donât have someone on your marketing team who dabbles in graphic design you need to hire them, or learn yourself. Infographics are everything awesome about visual content. Theyâre simple and straightforward, visually appealing, and palatable in a few moments. They take all the information from a blog article and condense it into one simple-to-understand, shareable, saveable, downloadable piece of content. Oh, and http://www.slideshare.net/WishpondTechnologiesLtd/why-visual-content-will-dominate-2014-29161055 grow in traffic an average of 12% more than those who donât. Slideshare: http://www.slideshare.net/ is going to be big in 2014. Weâre going to see it becoming more mainstream for online marketers as the year progresses. The ever-growing audience, and their very reasonable pricing structure (Iâll bet you whatever youâd like that weâll see their PRO plan rates increase by June) are irresistible. Iâm talking lead generation at less than a dollar/lead - check it out. 2. Emphasis on Social for SEO Even before Googleâs http://blog.wishpond.com/post/70400218630/marketing-predictions-the-5-biggest-things-of-2014 update, we were seeing the Google search algorithm switching emphasis to social interactions. Social shares are currency, and Google has decided (somewhat unsurprisinglyâ¦) that its own http://moz.com/blog/future-of-search-ranking-factors. As in, more than link building, more than keyword optimization, more than page name, length, images, url - the most. But other social shares are also climbing. In Mozâ search ranking factors (above) youâll find Facebook comments and Likes higher than total links to the page. What does this mean, though? Basically this means you need to be focusing more than ever on integrating your business with social platforms: Ensure you have social share buttons on your pages Provide sharing options on every single piece of content you produce Ask for social interactions not only within your Facebook profile, but on your homepage as well http://corp.wishpond.com/ which not only increase your social profiles, but generate traffic from those networks to your website. 3. Influence Marketing Influence Marketing will become mainstream, standard practice for online marketing in 2014. People will start catching on to the fact that the right influencer can have a huge impact on your brandâs success on both social and the web in general. If youâre wondering what, exactly, Influence Marketing is, and why itâs going to take up more of your time in 2014 than youâd thought, check out this four part series from Wishpondâs Krista Bunskoek: http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&ved=0CCkQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fblog.wishpond.com%2Fpost%2F65439932376%2Finfluence-marketing-how-to-find-your-industry-leaders&ei=i2irUpXgK4ndoATXr4CoDg&usg=AFQjCNESjF-ezp9a2kpGRjWWtiVI8_lBbg&bvm=bv.57967247%2Cd.cGU http://blog.wishpond.com/post/65540766079/influence-marketing-how-to-build-relationships-with http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&ved=0CDcQFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fblog.wishpond.com%2Fpost%2F66787223001&ei=i2irUpXgK4ndoATXr4CoDg&usg=AFQjCNFIUn3hU0MIB876QMzzvJnHDz14Dw&cad=rja http://blog.wishpond.com/post/65700397696/influence-marketing-how-to-amplify-your-content-with The strategy in Influence Marketing which will grow the most is the understanding that there are certain thought leaders out there (many of them are brands in and of themselves) who can make or break your business with a single sentence. They may even be your customers. For example, letâs say youâve developed a Wordpress plugin thatâs awesome but your reach is struggling. With Influence Marketing you can make contact with one of the powerful individuals who make it their lifeâs work to find the next big WP plugin. For instance, how affected do you think your little pluginâs success would be if youâd made it onto this list?: Jeff Bullasâ http://www.jeffbullas.com/2013/08/30/10-must-have-wordpress-plugins-of-2013-every-blogger-should-know-about/ The article alone has almost 1000 Tweets and 500 +1âs. Bullas himself has more than 200,000 Twitter followers, 24,000 Facebook Fans and 16,500 people in his Google+ circles.

I predict a continuing shift towards mobile -- marketers won't be able to get away with not optimizing their content for mobile devices anymore. It's going to become crucial to make all content mobile-friendly -- and even to create some mobile-specific content, such as an app or a mobile site.

Hi everyone, SEO in 2014 is certainly going to very dynamic and we need to look at our web properties as an entire entity, not just single "things". The way you structure your entire SEO and web marketing campaign is going to be extremely important for success, not just using individual strategies. We all need to be smarter about how we do things. I certainly believe link building is dead, but I do think we need to increase the quality and the way we are building links. We need to become smarter, get better at mobile and localized marketing, and synchronize our online and offline efforts to engage with our audience more effectively. SEO Techniques will leverage localized search far more effectively. This will be complemented by leveraging meta tags so that browsers on mobile and desktop will be able to bring up local results to consumers. Marketing automation tools will adapt to mobile, helped with better tracking, which will make demographics easier to compute.

1. Images are going to continue working further better in terms of content that gets engaged with and liked in general. 2. As platforms realize how to make money through allowing people to market on them, marketers and business owners need to increase their digital marketing budgets to continue leveraging the reach and effectiveness of social media sites for marketing needs.

Here is my top three predictions for internet marketing for 2014: 1. Location-based Marketing If thereâs one dominating trend to pinpoint in 2014, it almost surely is location-based marketing. This makes use of GPS technology to deliver multimedia content tailored to the geographical location straight to the potential customerâs mobile device. 2. Social Media Diversification Itâs no longer only Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Though these are the most popular, networks such as Pinterest, Google+, and Instagram are on the surge too. While 93 percent of marketers have claimed that social media is an integral part of their marketing in 2013, the number of visitors to these social networks will increase further next year. 3. Content Curation There are many content discovery apps available including Flipboard, Pulse, Foodspotting, and Fancy that help users to tweak the feeds by merchants and businesses according to their contexts and interests. Data is filtered and customized information platforms are curated by users according to their needs. This is set to become another important trend in 2014 and provide potential customers with greater engagement with the business. For more info, find me at: http://www.grafwebcuso.com/

More focus would be given to structure data (In 2013 we have done that too but still more focus required on it same as guest blogging. In the start of 2013 very few companies were focusing guest blogging. But after penguin update all of started it out. Google might launch advance version of humming bird algorithm(implementation of schema helps in it). Infographics needs more attention because its not about submitting it into infographics sites and getting linkback. After Google penguin udpate people are afraid on building exact anchor text link. They are just building links on variations. I think we have to build atleast few exact anchor links.
