What did you like/dislike about Seinfeld?

Remember Jerry Seinfeld's apartment set on Seinfeld. How big is that compared to real apartments in Manhattan?

    That's a tv show. It looks nothing like a real NYC apartment! I have never seen an apartment on tv that looks anything like a NYC apartment, probably because it would be too small to film in. The audience couldn't see the actors correctly. And as for the person who said that Seinfeld's apartment would go for $1500, in your dreams! That big apartment would go for much, much more than that.

Its larger then an average 1 bedroom. They dont ever really show his bedroom, but his living area/kitchen is bigger then average for sure. A place like that, in an area like that, would probably be pushing 3k a month in the city. Monica's apartment on firneds would be consider a huge 2 bedroom and probabbly be like 5-6 grand a month. TV shows do no ussualy depict reality in situtations like that.

We are only talking about TV here, but Monica on "Friends" mentioned several times throughout the series that she had rent control through her deceased Grandmother, Nana. My friend's mother has lived in the same apartment on the LES since the 1960's, her rent is unbelievably cheap. I honestly didn't think rent control was still around until I asked here and found out it was.

jerrys apartment seemed a decent size but then again it was tv. to live in manhattan your only paying rent to say you live in manhattan instead. a studio can cost 1500 or higher and a 2 bedroom like 2500 or higher

Affordable apartments are going to be studios with a toilet in one corner literally. His would cost a least 1500, if not more.
