What are some good colleges in New York City?

Cuny Hunter College, Pace University, NYU, Columbia. NYU and Columbia are both excellent schools. Columbia is an ivy league so you will need your sat's in the 2000-2400 range and a really high gpa. The other two are also good colleges and easier to get admitted. I know a lot friends that are freshman and sophomores in Hunter.

Columbia and NYU are the top of the heap but smaller private colleges like Marymount Manhattan and Wellesley and Pace are good. LIke the other responders said, the CUNY system has so many colleges and different programs in each, it is a good bargain. There is also alternative colleges like the New School, Cooper Union, School of Visual Arts and other specialized colleges.

Columbia & NYU are the best.

CUNY, SUNY, Iona College, Lehman College

CUNY & SUNY are not schools themselves. They're just city universities or state universities =.= NYU does have a long history & is one of the top notch schools WITHIN NYC. Columbia's a good school and Fordham is also a good school. It's not too hard to get into NYU these days though, from what I've heard.
