There are too many casinos to count. I'm not sure about how much money a person should take. It depends on how long you stay there and if you're gonna gamble or not.

There are tons. The strip is all of Las Vegas Blvd, so there would be a HUGE laundry list of hotels to name. It is not cheap to stay on the strip though, so don't count on any cheap rooms.

Check out Anthony Curtis' website: http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com They have everything you need to know about Vegas there. It is a really cool site. I am sure you could find all that info on this website. I do know, because I lived in Vegas for one year, that there are over 100 casinos in the city, but major ones, not sure exactly on the strip, but I would have to say about 20? Don't quote me on that one and I hope you have a blast. How much $$ depends on if you plan on gambling or not and if you gamble most likely, hate to say it, you will lose or hopefully win or at least break even.
